Three men, woman rob bank, elude authorities...... SB Sun 9-30-09
Four people held up a Victorville bank Wednesday afternoon and escaped in a stolen car that was later found abandoned, authorities said.
Sheriff's detectives are looking for three armed men and one woman who wore ski masks, gloves and dark clothing during the 2 p.m. robbery of Wachovia Bank on Hesperia Road.
Several passersby called 911 to report seeing people inside the bank lying on the ground. Others were able to call in the vehicle description and license plate number of the getaway car, which had been stolen in the city earlier in the day.
The vehicle was later found abandoned near Comanche and Hesperia roads. It has been taken into evidence for the robbery investigation.
After ordering everyone to the ground, two of the robbers jumped onto the counter and the woman walked behind the counter to collect the money.
No one was injured.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Detective Al Huff at (760) 241-2911.

Sheriff's deputies captured a suspected bank robber after he held up a Bank of America and stashed the money in his shoe, officials said.
San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies booked Rogelio Vincent Roman, 20, into jail on suspicion of robbery.
Deputies came to the bank at 21777 Highway 18 at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a robbery. The robber walked in the bank, handed a teller a note demanding money and then fled after he received cash.
A deputy driving through the area spotted a man matching the robber's description near the corner of Powhattan and Yakima roads.
The deputy questioned the man and found money taken from the bank hidden in one of his shoes.
